1) Electric attack
Leipzig's 24-goal top scorer last season, Loïs Openda, has carried on where he left off by netting twice in his team’s 3-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Matchday 2. New signing Antonio Nusa, who made four Champions League appearances with former team Club Brugge, scored the only goal in his side’s 1-0 win over VfL Bochum on the opening weekend of Bundesliga action, which he then followed up on with an assist for Openda’s winner against Leverkusen.
The returning Xavi Simons was the man that set up Nusa for his first goal in Leipzig colours, while Openda’s strike partner Benjamin Šeško provided him with the assist for his first, and Leipzig’s second, against Xabi Alonso’s men. While Šeško is yet to open his account in the Bundesliga this season, he did score four goals in two games for Slovenia in the recent international break, including a hat-trick against Kazakhstan.
All in all, there are plenty of dangermen capable of causing mischief up front.
