Arsenal fans have taken to social media to urge the club to sell striker Gabriel Jesus after his performance in their 3-0 Premier League win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday (November 23).
The 27-year-old made just his second Premier League start of the season as Arsenal secured a valuable three points at the Emirates.
Jesus has scored just one goal so far this season, the opener in their 3-0 FA Cup win over Preston North End earlier in the season.
His performance against Forest didn’t do much to convince manager Mikel Arteta he should be a regular, ending the game having had just one shot, being dispossessed twice, and a zero per cent dribble success rate.
Bukayo Saka scored the opening goal after just 15 minutes before Thomas Partey doubled their lead shortly after half-time.
Substitute Ethan Nwaneri got their third to secure all three points and keep Arsenal within touching distance of the top three.
Arsenal fans losing faith in Gabriel Jesus
It’s no secret that Arsenal are in need of a more traditional number nine, with only Man United having scored fewer goals out of the ‘top six’.
Patience with Jesus is running out amongst the Arsenal fans, with some taking to X, formally known as Twitter to urge the club to sell up.
In other news, ‘Newcastle are being armlocked into selling Alexander Isak to Arsenal’.
