Barcelona have been very active in the transfer market over the last couple of weeks. Specifically, departures have been worked on, as club officials are desperate trying to have Dani Olmo registered with La Liga as soon as possible. Ilkay Gundogan’s return to Manchester City has helped, and the same can be said of Mikayil Faye’s sale.
On Sunday, it was announced that Faye has left Barcelona after only one year in Catalonia. He has signed for Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais.
FC Barcelona and Stade Rennais F.C have reached agreement for the transfer of the player Mikayil Faye.

It’s been reported that Barcelona will receive €11m from the sale of Faye. They will also retain a very healthy sell-on, believed to be worth 30%, and the option to re-sign him for €25m is included too.
Faye failed to make his first team debut for Barcelona, but his stock rose exponentially during his time at the club. If he impresses in France, there’s a good chance that he returns down the line.
