The 21-year-old is yet to feature for Chelsea in the Premier League this season but has made four appearances in the Conference League, as well as in the 5-0 win against Barrow in the Carabao Cup in September. Casadei has been unable to force his way into Chelsea’s Premier League squads with Enzo Maresca favouring Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Romeo Lavia in his midfield. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea and Monza are ‘quickly’ advancing their negotiations over a six-month loan deal for Casadei ahead of the January transfer window. The report claims that Monza are aiming to have the Chelsea midfielder registered as soon as the window opens on January 2 in order for him to play against Cagliari three days later.
