Heart and Hand podcast host David Edgar expects reports of Dave King’s potential return to Rangers to go on for a while.
Edgar has also admitted that in the future there could be an opportunity for him to speak to King about his real intentions surrounding the Ibrox outfit.
King gave a statement to the Daily Record on 19 September, challenging the board of the Ibrox outfit to let the fans decide who runs the club.
Edgar wrote on X: “He’s always welcome to but he has his preferred places to go and that’s perfectly fair.
“By sounds of things it’ll go on for a while so maybe in future.”
Dave King must speak to Rangers fans and partake in unscripted interviews
If King aims to genuinely enhance the club’s situation, engaging in unscripted interviews and fan interactions is crucial.
It gives him the opportunity to convey his vision and intentions directly, unfiltered by boardroom politics or media spin, fostering transparency that’s often lacking in corporate communications.
This direct engagement can rebuild trust with fans who feel disconnected from the club’s decision-making processes.
Unscripted dialogues might reveal underlying issues within the club’s management that scripted content might gloss over and that is crucial as there have been numerous bad decisions made over the past few years.
A section of the fanbase would undoubtedly be open to his return but there is equally a large number of supporters that wouldn’t welcome this at all.
It remains to be seen how things transpire, but as things stand, this does not look to be going away any time soon.
