Doctor: Player likely to be introduced gradually as £7.5m Everton bid on table for new transfer

Sparta Prague right-back Angelo Preciado is unlikely to be a regular starter for the first two months should he join Everton, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the Ecuador international has some years of experience in Europe under his belt which will help him adapt, but the Premier League is a completely different ball game.

The Toffees have already tabled a £7.5million bid as they are keen on signing the 26-year-old right-back this summer. [Safak Malatya, 19 July]

Speaking exclusively to Goodison NewsBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Preciado:

He hasn’t played in Europe’s top five leagues yet but has been in Europe since 2021 so it’s not a completely new environment for him.

How quickly he’s introduced to regular first-team football will depend on his metrics and how he’s looking during fitness and training sessions but there is still a gap between what he’s used to and not used to so a gradual introduction is still key.

He’ll likely not be a regular starter for the first couple of months to minimise the risk of injury.

Angelo Preciado must be an option Everton must seriously consider

The 26-year-old’s speed and technical ability make him a threat going forward, while his defensive instincts ensure he’s not a liability at the back.

Preciado’s experience in Europe and with the Ecuador national team adds a level of maturity and adaptability that could be valuable in the Premier League.

His potential signing could provide the Toffees with a long-term solution at right-back and this is something Kevin Thelwell will prioritise.

In other Everton news, Alan Myers has issued an update as the Toffees now want to sign a £25m-rated ‘Explosive’ central midfielder.
