Tottenham winger Mikey Moore is likely to need a late check up before being cleared to play against Manchester City on Saturday, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that if he was out for the last game with a minor illness, he should be back but if there are any issues with his conditioning or his breathing, he could be out longer.
Spurs will make the trip north to take on the defending champions at the Etihad Stadium on 23 November.
Discussing the state of play with Moore exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, shared his verdict.
“If it’s a mild illness, then yes, he should be back right away,” he said.
“If it’s something that is affecting his conditioning and potentially his breathing, then could be longer.
“I’d still have a late check just to see if all parameters are fine before clearing him to play and that’s likely what the club will do too.“
Mikey Moore is unlikely to start for Tottenham against Manchester City
The 17-year-old has played four Premier League games this season but has only made one start for Spurs.
The winger has featured for 83 minutes in the league but has seen more game time in the Europa League, amounting to 183 minutes from three appearances.
It remains to be seen whether or not he gets any minutes against Manchester City but he’s unlikely to start the game.
In other Tottenham news, a new favourite has emerged to replace Ange Postecoglou.
