Dominic Solanke has been sent home due to illness before Tottenham take on Fulham in a Premier League clash on Sunday, Ange Postecoglou confirmed.
Speaking to the media [Football London] ahead of the game at the Hotspur Stadium on 1 December, the manager revealed that the striker arrived with the squad but was sent home.
Solanke is just one of four changes made from the 2-2 draw with AS Roma, with Archie Gray making way for Destiny Udogie, Yves Bissouma replacing the suspended Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski dropping to the bench for James Maddison.
“He just came in today and he wasn’t looking the best. He was under the weather so we sent him home. Hopefully a full recovery and ready to go for the next one,” he said.

With four goals and two assists in the Premier League so far, and a further two goals against Qarabag FK and Galatasaray in the Europa League, the striker has been a welcome addition to the squad.
Spurs have been without an out-and-out striker since Harry Kane’s departure to Bayern Munich, and although those are rather large boots to fit into, he has stamped his mark in North London.
Therefore, Postecoglou will have been gutted to send his striker home before facing the Cottagers but the Lilywhites have plenty of talent in the squad to account for his absence.
Son Heung-min deputised through the middle of the pitch for the majority of last season, notching 17 goals and 10 assists in the Premier League, two goal contributions of which came against Fulham.
The South Korean will be hoping to replicate similar numbers on Sunday and add to his three goals and four assists in the league so far, especially with Solanke missing through illness for the clash.
