England fans savage Gary Neville after his Thomas Tuchel reaction

England fans have savaged “arrogant” Gary Neville after he shared his opinion on the FA hiring Thomas Tuchel as the new Three Lions boss.

The former Man United full-back told Sky Sports News on 16 October, “I do think there are outstanding candidates that could have been appointed that were English.”

Neville did insist that Tuchel is a “great coach” and guaranteed he would support him, but the Sky Sports pundit has become the latest name to question the FA for hiring a foreign manager.

Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has also made it clear he felt an English manager should have been appointed to replace Gareth Southgate.

However, England fans have shared a different opinion as many have voiced their excitement about the former Chelsea manager leading the Three Lions.

England have had two foreign managers in the past, Fabio Capello and Sven-Goran Eriksson, with Neville having played under the latter throughout his time in charge.

The German coach has insisted during his first press conference that he has yet to decide whether he will sing the national anthem when he takes charge of the team in 2025.

Neville’s comments have infuriated many fans who have gone on to claim there should be “less of the slander” against Tuchel due to his track record of winning trophies.
