Erik ten Hag’s team talk during Manchester United’s 0-0 draw at Aston Villa was secretly recorded in a ‘shocking’ security breach, according to reports.

United’s Dutch manager Ten Hag is under huge pressure and is thought to be fighting for his job amid the Red Devils’ abysmal start to the 2024-25 season.

It was recently reported that Ten Hag had just two games to save himself – the first of which came on Sunday – which ended in a 0-0 away draw against Villa.

It has now emerged via The Sun that a football prankster managed to break into the dressing room at Villa Park to secretly record one of Ten Hag’s team talks.

Details regarding exactly what was said is not being published by the newspaper, although they say Ten Hag’s instructions to the team and players could be heard.

‘This is a shocking breach of security and some serious questions will be asked as to how this was allowed to happen,’ a source told The Sun.

‘Fortunately, there was nothing sinister to this incident. It was just a prankster, who’s actually a United fan.

‘[He was] being silly and wanting to hear what was said inside those four walls.

‘But it will definitely be a cause for concern about how they managed to get inside a changing room at one of the Premier League’s biggest clubs just days before a match.’

It is understood that the football prankster used sticky tape to place the recording device out of sight and activated it when he knew Ten Hag would be speaking.

He then went back to collect the recording device on Monday, the day after the match.

United, meanwhile, are back in action on October 19 when they host Brentford at Old Trafford after the international break.

They have only won two of their opening seven Premier League games this term under Ten Hag’s management.
