Everton confidence emerges in transfer race for attacker as full agreement reached - report

Everton are confident they have won the summer transfer race for Hull City winger Jaden Philogene, according to TEAMtalk.

The outlet reported on its website on Monday (8 July) that the Toffees have sent the 22-year-old a contract proposal and he has responded positively to suggest that he would be interested in the move to Goodison.

Sean Dyche’s side have managed to reach a full agreement with the Tigers over the summer transfer and are therefore sure that they have managed to beat Premier League rivals Crystal Palace to his signature.

Following this agreement, the winger’s future could be decided very soon as he looks to return to the Premier League having left Aston Villa last summer.

Will Jaden Philogene exit Hull City amid Everton transfer interest this summer?

It appears as though the Toffees are confident that they have managed to beat their Premier League rivals to Philogene’s signature, but they won’t be sure of that until they get the contract signed at Goodison Park.

These things can change quickly in the transfer window, as was the case when the Blues thought they had won the race for Arnaut Danjuma a couple of years ago, and until the paperwork is completed and a deal is announced, you can’t be too sure.

With so many Premier League sides gunning for the 22-year-old this summer, this saga will almost certainly have one or two more twists and turns to come before somebody actually does pull him away from Hull City.

Hopefully, the Blues’ confidence hasn’t been misplaced and they haven’t just got too far ahead of themselves as it would be a massive blow now if another club somehow got their hands on Philogene first.

With the winger’s final decision expected sooner rather than later, Everton simply have to hope that Dyche’s project is more enticing than a move to Selhurst Park or even Ipswich Town.
