Everton are prepared to make a decision on Sean Dyche’s future before the next international break begins on October 10, according to HITC.
HITC sources reported on 21 September that while the Goodison Park hierarchy continues to back Dyche publicly, internal talks are ongoing over potential replacements if they do pull the plug.
A poor start to the new season has seen the Toffees lose four straight Premier League games, the last two of which have seen them lose 3-2 despite being 2-0 up.
Sean Dyche is on borrowed time at Everton
Rock-bottom of the Premier League table, with just four goals scored and 13 let in at the other end, Dyche looks to be on the brink despite his strong record in the Goodison Park dugout.
The four goals the Blues have scored also proved to be in vain, merely serving to spark Bournemouth and Aston Villa into life as they both somehow mounted comebacks.
A similar collapse – or anything of the sort – in the Blues’ next match against Leicester on 21 September would push Dyche even further onto the tightrope [Paul Merson, 19 September], and could spell the end of his time in charge.
The signs for Dyche don’t point to much improvement either [Tony Scott, 19 September], with more goals conceded than any other Premier League side and some horrendous football when his side aren’t picking the ball out of their net.
Leicester could prove to be the final time Dyche takes to the dugout as Everton boss, and thus the onus is now on him to instead make sure it’s the start of another astonishing revival.
In other Everton news, one TalkSPORT pundit has highlighted why he thinks the club are suffering with such a lengthy injury list.
