Everton chiefs still expect Sean Dyche to lead the club out of trouble in the 2024-25 campaign, sources have told Football Insider.
The Toffees have lost each of their first three Premier League games this term and reports have suggested that incoming owner John Textor is looking to replace him.
It has been widely reported that Palmeiras coach Abel Fereira has been lined up as a possible replacement by Textor as he prepares to take full control at Goodison Park.
AC Milan boss Paulo Fonseca is also reportedly on the American investor’s radar.
Sources say that while Dyche’s future could hinge on the outcome of the takeover, current club chiefs are fully behind him to deliver results at Everton and turn their poor start around.
Dyche still has faith of Everton chiefs after Textor reports
The Englishman has done a great job since his appointment in 2023 and led the Merseysiders to safety last term despite two separate points deductions.
Everton finished 15th, some 14 points clear of the drop zone despite being docked eight points.
This season, they are pointless after three games and have shipped 10 goals in the process.
Textor has entered a period of exclusivity to complete a takeover at Goodison Park but must first relieve himself of his share at Crystal Palace to satisfy Premier League rules.
777 Partners and The Friedkin Group have already failed to complete buyouts in recent months.
In other news, Everton and Nottingham Forest will be “furious” after confirmed news, says expert.
