Exclusive: Man United and Tottenham are keeping close tabs on ‘magical’ £13m winger

Manchester United have endured a torrid start to the new Premier League season but they returned to winning ways on Saturday afternoon, as they defeated Brentford 2-1 at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag’s future remains far from secure as Man United languish in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

Thomas Tuchel had been named as a potential candidate to take over but he’s just accepted the England job.

So, whilst potential candidates are being identified, the recruitment team are also keeping tabs on a transfer target ahead of the winter window.

Man United and Tottenham interested in Kevin Zenon

TBR Football understands that Boca Juniors are expecting to lose Kevin Zenon in January.

The 23-year-old has emerged as one of the key figures in Fernando Gago’s line-up.

We understand that the likes of Napoli, Atalanta, Lyon, Sporting Lisbon and Atletico Madrid are amongst those who are keen on Zenon.

There is English interest – we can confirm from sources that Liverpool, Newcastle, Tottenham, Man United, Fulham and Everton have all watched Zenon in the last six months.

Kevin Zenon profile

Zenon, who has been labelled as ‘magical’ per analyst Ben Mattinson, is a left-winger by trade.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed a productive season in Argentina’s top flight, registering 11 goal involvements across 38 outings.

If Man United were to land his signature, he’d be competing with Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford for a spot in ten Hag’s line-up.

Evidently, Zenon’s underlying statistics make for pretty impressive reading, so he could be an upgrade on United’s current wing options.

Zenon is thought to have a £13m release clause in his Boca contract.
