Sevilla manager Garica Pimienta has handed Joan Jordan a “punishment” and does not plan on using him again amid links to Rangers, according to Estadio Deportivo.

The Spanish news outlet reported on 16 July that Pimienta leaving the 30-year-old out of the pre-season game against Orlando Pirates was him sending the midfielder a warning that he’s not going to play a single minute for the club.

Gers should consider making a permanent transfer bid for Jordan due to Sevilla’s stance of wanting him gone for good.

Pimienta’s decision to leave the 30-year-old out of a pre-season game and his warning that the midfielder won’t play a single minute for the club suggests a strained relationship.

This situation could be beneficial for Gers, as Sevilla may be more willing to accept a permanent transfer offer at a reduced fee to resolve the issue.

Gers could then secure Jordan’s services without the complications of a loan deal, such as the wage percentage issue that led to the rejection of their initial loan offer.
