Exit-linked player handed 'Punishment' as Rangers make offer to sign him on loan - reports

Sevilla manager Garica Pimienta has handed Joan Jordan a “punishment” and does not plan on using him again amid links to Rangers, according to Estadio Deportivo.

The Spanish news outlet reported on 16 July that Pimienta leaving the 30-year-old out of the pre-season game against Orlando Pirates was him sending the midfielder a warning that he’s not going to play a single minute for the club.

Rangers must table permanent transfer bid for Joan Jordan

Gers should consider making a permanent transfer bid for Jordan due to Sevilla’s stance of wanting him gone for good.

Pimienta’s decision to leave the 30-year-old out of a pre-season game and his warning that the midfielder won’t play a single minute for the club suggests a strained relationship.

This situation could be beneficial for Gers, as Sevilla may be more willing to accept a permanent transfer offer at a reduced fee to resolve the issue.

Gers could then secure Jordan’s services without the complications of a loan deal, such as the wage percentage issue that led to the rejection of their initial loan offer.

By offering a reasonable transfer fee, Rangers could potentially negotiate a more favourable wage structure and ensure Jordan’s full commitment to the club.

Philippe Clement might need to identify new transfer targets at Rangers

Moreover, signing Jordan permanently would provide Philippe Clement with a quality midfielder who can contribute immediately and for the next few years as well.

In other Rangers news, a transfer fee update has emerged as the Ibrox outfit are keen on signing Kenny McLean this summer.
