Rangers take on Dundee United in the SPFL on Saturday and Philippe Clement could make three changes for this one.

After struggling to beat Hearts right before the international break, the Belgian knows that he may need to make a few alterations.

Unfortunately, Neraysho Kasanwirjo’s serious injury appears to rule him out of action for the game on 23 November at Ibrox.

James Tavernier is expected to be dropped for Rangers v Dundee United

James Tavernier, the club captain who’s been a first-team regular this season, has been criticised for his performances this season and there have been talks about his defensive frailties for the past few years.

Dujon Sterling, who has been given the nod of late by Clement, is a more reliable option there and must be handed a start.

Despite it appearing initially that he was seen as a midfielder, the Englishman has proven he can be the long-term option at right-back.

Robin Propper will likely have spent the international break coming up to speed with the Scottish game and trying to fit into this side properly.

There’s a good chance that Clement hands him the nod to play along with John Souttar as he views them as his go-to centre-back pairing.

In attack, there is a possibility that Danilo is finally cleared to be given a start and perhaps play 60 minutes, at least.

Gers are expected to dominate possession and control proceedings against Dundee United so it makes sense to give the Brazilian an hour for him to return to match fitness with Cyriel Dessers dropping to the bench.

In other Rangers news, a new twist has emerged as Philippe Clement has been linked with the Belgium head coach role.
