Rangers take on St Mirren at Paisley on boxing day and Philippe Clement is expected to ring in changes for this one.
Gers played well against Dundee on 21 December but could only score one goal in a 1-0 win at Ibrox.
While there wasn’t much wrong with the system, an away game is set to pose a different set of challenges which could see Clement making three alterations to his side.
Jack Butland should come back into the Rangers XI v St Mirren
Jack Butland missed the Dundee clash with it later being revealed that his partner gave birth to a baby.
Liam Kelly started in place of him and while he kept a clean sheet, Butland is expected to return to the playing eleven.
Robin Propper started over the weekend alongside Dujon Sterling but this seems the ideal game to bring in Leon Balogun.
Sterling has shown he’s capable of filling in at centre-back and given John Souttar’s absence due to injury, he could form a good partnership with Balogun.
At left-back, Ridvan Yilmaz has been yearning for minutes while Jefte has let the team down during big games.
Thus, it makes sense to hand Yilmaz a start despite Jefte being a regular starter under Philippe Clement.
In other Rangers news, a wage bill claim has been made as three Gers players have been linked with January exits.
