James Maddison shares incredible social media message about Tottenham teammate

Tottenham star James Maddison has taken to social media to compare in-form winger Brennan Johnson to legendary Brazilian star Ronaldo Nazario.

Johnson, 23, scored a tap-in at Old Trafford after just three minutes thanks to a train-like run from giant Dutch defender Mikey van de Ven.

That marks the Wales international’s fourth goal in as many games across all competitions after he was forced to delete his Instagram due to fan abuse.

Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke later compounded upon Erik ten Hag’s misery to secure an impressive 3-0 victory for Ange Postecoglu’s side.

After a tricky start to the season, both Johnson and Spurs have seemingly found their feet after winning their last four games.

Maddison has been so impressed, that he took to Instagram to compare the youngster to arguably one of the best players the world has ever seen with a hilarious image.

The legendary Brazilian famously cut his hair in such a manner for the 2002 World Cup to distract from the numerous knee injuries that had plagued his career.

Johnson will no doubt be delighted if he goes on to win half the accolades Ronaldo did but for now, he’ll have to concentrate on their Europa League games against Ferencvaros on Thursday (October 3).
