Jamie O’Hara believes Everton have enough to retain their Premier League status this season.

The Toffees picked up their first Premier League win of the season with a 2-1 triumph over Crystal Palace on 28 September at Goodison Park.

Dwight McNeil was inspired and managed to bag both goals to catapult his side to fifteenth.

Speaking live on talkSPORT (28 September, 18:13pm) while replying to a fan, O’Hara shared his thoughts on Everton’s chances of survival.

“You’ll stay up, Everton will stay up, simple as that,” he said.

Everton will survive relegation

The last few seasons have been something of a rollercoaster for Everton and their fans.

The club have been up for sale for as long as many can remember and, with an end to that finally in sight due to the Friedkin Group’s U-turn, things might start coming together a bit more [Bloomberg, 23 September].

Dyche has done a decent job while in charge of the Toffees, guiding them through perhaps the most difficult time in their history last season when the Merseyside outfit were the first Premier League side to be deducted points for two separate charges.

This season hasn’t gone as well as many would’ve hoped, especially after the strong summer transfer window they seemed to have.

While Dan Friedkin hasn’t yet taken over the club, the fact that the club are likely to spend in January should pique the interest of fans [Alan Myers, 26 September].

Further additions would no doubt help their chances of survival which, in reality, is the minimum the club should be giving their fans.

In other Everton news, Clinton Morrison was blown away by the return of Jarrad Branthwaite.
