Everton have been handed an opportunity to monetise their new stadium for events like the Taylor Swift concert which was held at Anfield, the home of Liverpool, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The news outlet reported on 17 July that with the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium opening at the end of the year, the Toffees have a chance to make it the go destination in the city.

The new home ground will also be hosting 10 games of the UEFA European Championship in 2028.

The report reads: “Ever since the Taylor Swift juggernaut rolled into the city, Liverpool has once again showcased that nowhere can quite put on a show like it can.

“But as Anfield was abuzz with excitement and Swifites were preparing for what for many will have been the night of their lives, across Stanley Park, Everton continue to prepare for the biggest move in their history.

“The club’s new location on the banks of the Mersey is taking shape. In fact, by the end of this year, the Bramley-Moore Dock development should be completed.

“While it is impossible to predict the Blues’ results or even who will be running the club in the coming months, one thing that can be said with confidence is that Liverpool is now a place the stars want to come and perform in.

“Which presents Everton with a huge opportunity. There is absolutely no reason why the club’s new home cannot become the permanent venue for the biggest and best outdoor concerts in the North of England.”

Everton must make the most of their new stadium

The new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock represents a significant opportunity for the club to enhance its revenue streams and elevate its global brand.

The state-of-the-art facility will not only be a home for football matches but also a potential venue for a variety of events, including music concerts, boxing matches, and rugby games.

The Toffees must capitalise on this trend of the city being an entertainment hub to maximise the stadium’s potential and generate additional income.

This could involve hosting high-profile music concerts, sports events and other cultural activities, thereby cementing the stadium’s position as a premier entertainment hub in the North of England.

This diversification of use can significantly boost Everton’s revenues, enhance its global visibility and solidify its position as a major player in the city’s vibrant cultural and sporting landscape.

It’s important that whoever the new owners are take this into consideration seriously.
