Liverpool star Alisson Becker shares training ground update in new message

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has hinted at his return on social media with a new training ground image of his injury rehabiliation.

The 32-year-old picked up a hamstring injury in Liverpool’s 1-0 Premier League win over Crystal Palace at the start of October and has since missed their last eight games across all competitions.

Alisson has now returned to individual training but is yet to rejoin the group as Liverpool prepare to take on Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League at Anfield on Wednesday (November 27).

Alisson has now missed 40 games through injury for Liverpool over the last five seasons, more than any other goalkeeper in the Premier League.

Thankfully for Arne Slot’s side, they haven’t missed the Brazilian too much, with Republic of Ireland international Caoimhin Kelleher stepping up in his absence.

Still, Alisson remains the club’s first-choice goalkeeper, taking to Instagram to let fans know his recovery is going well.

Attention will turn from the Champions League back to the Premier League after their game against Real Madrid as Liverpool prepare to take on Man City on Sunday (December 1).

A win would take Slot’s side 12 points clear of the current champions, who are without a win in their last six games across all competitions.
