Man United are determined to seal a deal for Bayern Munich star Matthijs de Ligt despite finalising the big-money capture of Leny Yoro, sources have told Football Insider.
The Red Devils confirmed the signing of Loro last week (18 July), paying a reported potential fee of almost £59million to land the 18-year-old.
Nevertheless, talks and negotiations are ongoing with Bayern Munich over a deal to also bring De Ligt to Old Trafford.
It is believed the German giants are willing to sell the Netherlands international at the right price this summer.
Sources say the signing of Yoro will have no bearing on United’s ability to strike a deal for the 24-year-old.

De Ligt is keen to reunite with Erik ten Hag at Man United after their successful time together at Ajax.
He made 30 appearances across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign, with a knee ligament tear restricting his action for Bayern Munich as they missed out on the Bundesliga title.
The centre-back went to Euro 2024 with the Netherlands but didn’t play a single minute at the tournament.
De Ligt is under contract in Munich until June 2027 but will be allowed to leave this summer.
Man United are keen to add defensive reinforcements after losing Raphael Varane and Willy Kambwala so far in the off-season.
The Red Devils will play Europa League football this season after winning the FA Cup last term.
