Manchester United star left out of pre-season tour squad as Joshua Zirkzee also misses out
United begin their tour with a game against Arsenal.
Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia will miss the club’s pre-season tour of the United States, while several key first-team players including new signing Joshua Zirkzee are also absent.
Malacia did not make an appearance for United last season as he recovered from knee surgery.
The 24-year-old is back in individual training this summer but played no part in United’s 2-0 win against Rangers last weekend.
United have now confirmed that the Dutch left-back will not travel with the squad for their pre-season tour, which begins in Los Angeles.
Leny Yoro, who completed his £52 million move to Old Trafford last week, featured in the victory against Rangers and has been included as part of United’s tour squad.
Andre Onana, Harry Maguire, Christian Eriksen, Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford, Antony, Rasmus Hojlund and Jadon Sancho are also among those who are travelling to the United States.

However, Joshua Zirkzee is not part of the squad as he remains on holiday following the Netherlands’ Euro 2024 campaign.
The striker completed his £36.5m move to United earlier this month but will not link up with Erik ten Hag and his new teammates until they return from the United States.
United captain Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo, Lisandro Martinez, Facundo Pellistri, Luke Shaw, Diogo Dalot and Altay Bayindir are also on holiday after playing at Euro 2024 or at the Copa America and will return to training at Carrington.
Ten Hag’s side begin their pre-season tour with a game against Arsenal on July. They will then play Real Betis in San Diego on August 1 before finishing their tour against Liverpool in Columbia, South Carolina, on August 4.
