Man United ace Mason Mount has taken to social media to send a message to the fans after their 3-2 Europa League win over Bodo/Glimt on Thursday (November 28).
Ruben Amorim secured his first win as Man United manager thanks to an early goal from Alejandro Garnacho and a brace from striker Rasmus Hojlund.
Just two games into his tenure, the Portuguese coach is yet to learn his best eleven, playing Mount, 25, as one of his two number 10s.
The game against Bodo/Glimt marked Mount’s first start since their 3-0 Premier League defeat to Tottenham earlier in the season, in which he picked up a head injury.
Mason Mount set for starring role under Ruben Amorim at Man United
Mount has struggled since leaving boyhood club, Chelsea, for Man United back in 2023, making just 28 appearances across all competitions due to various injury issues.
In theory, Mount suits Amorim’s system perfectly, finding space between the wing and behind the striker as one of United’s duel playmakers.
Glad to get back out there, the attacking midfielder took to Instagram to send a message to fans after their most recent win.
Attention will now return to the Premier League as United prepare for a game against Sean Dyche’s struggling Everton side on Sunday (December 1).
Sitting down in 12th after a frustrating 1-1 draw with Ipswich, Amorim still has work to do if he’s going to change the club’s fortunes.
