Rangers and Celtic are set to square off in the Scottish League Cup final with potentially adverse weather conditions, according to the Daily Record.
The news outlet reported on 14 December that the Met Office are predicting rising winds to peak out during the game on Sunday, 15 December.
A yellow warning will be used if the winds reach more than 40mph and they have been predicted to reach highs of 48mph at Hampden Park on Sunday evening.
Rangers must embrace the underdog spirit and go and cause an upset against Celtic
While the gale force winds predicted for the final at Hampden Park might not provide ideal playing conditions, they will affect both sides equally, levelling the physical challenge.
Winds expected to reach 48mph, along with a 90% chance of rain, could make for a testing match.
However, Rangers, coming in as underdogs, have a unique opportunity to harness these conditions to their advantage.
Embracing the underdog spirit, they can use the adverse weather as a motivator to show resilience and determination.
Philippe Clement’s side need to fight for every ball, adapt their tactics to the weather and show the kind of grit that could turn the game in their favour.
This match isn’t just about skill but about who wants it more under challenging circumstances.
Rangers must go out with the mentality to battle through the elements and claim victory on Sunday.
In other Rangers news, Gary Neville and Ian Wright have namedropped the club in recent discussions after what happened.
