It’s make or break for West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui and Wolves boss Gary O’Neil when they sit in the London Stadium dugouts before the Monday Night Football Premier League show.

Both are on thin ice after a run of poor displays and bad results and the patience of the respective boards is expected to snap if three points aren’t gained at the final whistle.

The Hammers are still trying to work out how they didn’t win at Leicester last Tuesday after having 31 shots but still succumbing to a 3-1 defeat. Meanwhile, Wolves are licking their wounds following a 4-0 thrashing at Everton which had travelling fans calling for O’Neil to be dismissed.

This could get toxic very quickly for the man on the wrong end of the result with Lopetegui possibly being sacked if the game ends in a draw after taking just four points from the last 15 available.

Wolves have taken eight points from their last six outings but that heavy defeat at Goodison Park followed a 4-2 loss at home to Bournemouth and all momentum seems to have fallen by the wayside.

Lopetegui is the 6/4 favourite with Sky Bet to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post and if he goes Graham Potter is 3/1 with BetMGM to take over while former Hammers star Michael Carrick is interesting at 16/1 with Bet Victor.

O’Neil is 2/1 with Sky Bet to be the next to go and Russell Martin is next on the list at 9/4 with Bet Victor as he continues to survive at Southampton despite being eight points from safety with by far the worst goal difference in the division.

The Hammers are 19/20 with Betfred to win on Monday and Jarrod Bowen is 6/1 to put them on the road to victory and 2/1 with the same firm to score at any time. A 2-1 home win is 17/2 with bet365.

• Someone has to come up big in Texas when the Cincinnati Bengals and their terrible defense face the equally disappointing Dallas Cowboys in the NFL’s Monday Night Football shootout.

The Bengals have lost three in a row but again put up points when losing 44-38 to the Pittsburgh Steelers while the Cowboys were far from convincing in a 27-20 win against the nauseous New York Giants. Cincinnati are 5/4 with Ladbrokes and Coral to win by more than 5.5 points while JaMarr Chase is 11/2 with Betway to score the first touchdown.

• Nicky Henderson’s Jonbon is 11/4 with BetMGM to win the Queen Mother Championship Chase at the Cheltenham Festival in March after becoming the first horse since Kauto Star in 2006 to win back-to-back Tingle Creek crowns at Sandown.
