Mykhaylo Mudryk sends Chelsea message as full stats emerge

Chelsea winger Mykhaylo Mudryk capped another fine performance in their 2-0 Europa Conference League win over FC Heidenheim on Thursday with a lovely goal (November 28).

The 23-year-old is experiencing somewhat of a resurgence in Europe, netting his third goal in four Europa Conference League matches against the German side.

Receiving the ball from Jadon Sancho, Mudryk didn’t think twice about hitting it, curling his shot into the top corner to double Chelsea’s lead and secure the win.

Mudryk is among a handful of players putting pressure on manager Enzo Maresca for more Premier League minutes, thanks to his impressive performances in cup competitions.

The winger was a constant threat, ending the game with a 100 per cent shot accuracy rate, creating two open play chances, and having 12 touches in the opposition box.

After a tough start to life at Stamford Bridge, Mudryk is finally starting to find his feet at Chelsea, playing a pivotal role in their mission to become the first club to win every major European trophy.

Happy at the club, and with his most recent performance, Mudryk took to Instagram to let Chelsea fans know he’s all smiles.

Maresca has certainly turned things around at Chelsea, with the West London club sitting top of the new Europa Conference League group phase and third in the Premier League.

Attention will now return to domestic affairs, as Chelsea prepare for a visit from fellow top-four contenders Aston Villa on Sunday (December 1).
