English League Cup

Tom Dele-Bashiru was in action for Watford as they secured a 2-0 victory ovet Plymouth Argyle.

Calvin Bassey was on the bench throughout while Alex Iwobi was a second-half sub during Fulham’s pleasant 2-0 win at Birmingham City.

Wilfred Ndidi got his first goal of the season as Leicester City handed Tranmere a 4-0 mauling inside the King Power Stadium.

The Super Eagles midfielder raced into the box to combine brilliantly with Ghana’s Jordan Ayew before scooping the ball into the net.

Ayew scored the first goal for the Foxes in the first half before Stephy Mavididi doubled their advantage from the penalty spot shortly after the restart.

After Ndidi better Leicester’s third of the evening in the 71st minute, Harry Winks added the icing on the cake on stoppage time.
