O’Hara hilariously mocked with violin music on talkSPORT after ‘Garbage’ Tottenham admission

Jamie O’Hara was hilariously mocked live on talkSPORT as he discussed the season so far for Tottenham.

The former Spurs midfielder, on air with Jason Cundy on Monday (4 November), began reeling off games and highlighting the performances of Ange Postecoglou’s side.

A violin background tune then ebbed onto O’Hara’s voice as he continued to rant, much to the amusement of listeners.

O’Hara said live on the pair’s talkSPORT show [4 November, 22:59]: “We’re two points behind Arsenal. The Leicester result, you walk away from that really annoyed. The Newcastle one, poor. Crystal Palace, we were garbage – the worst performance of the season.

“But if you look at the football we’ve been playing this season and the way we’re doing business… [Dominic] Solanke’s coming good; Brennan Johnson’s scoring goals.

“Don’t write us off. We’re the best team in the Europa League, we’re in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup, and we’re three points off third spot. We’re there this year.”

Cundy simply responded: “You never learn.”

Jamie O’Hara harbours big Tottenham ambitions

O’Hara for one appears optimistic that Spurs can end their 17-year trophy drought with a piece of silverware this season, namely either the Europa League or Carabao Cup at this rate.

The latter remains the last cup the club have lifted, back in 2008, adorned with Carling ribbons after beating Chelsea in extra time at Wembley.

Postecoglou’s men have admittedly looked rather untroubled in Europe so far, although the greater tests will no doubt arrive deeper into the competition with the likes of Manchester United, Athletic Club and the two Roman clubs also competing.

It cannot be denied that Spurs have been entertaining and when it works, it certainly works and then some, as exhibited against an Aston Villa side who had lost just once heading into Sunday’s contest [3 November].

The high-risk revolution of Postecoglou at Spurs will not be proven successful until Tottenham update the trophy cabinet, however – the ruthless nature of the elite level.

In other Tottenham news, a defender who starred v Aston Villa could move to Serie A.
