Rangers fans rage at board as 'devastated' Ally McCoist speaks out

Rangers fans have been left fuming at their board once more after Ally McCoist claimed he was “devastated” by the current state of the club.

The former Ibrox boss was speaking live on talkSPORT as he confessed “I’m genuinely devastated at what’s going on at my club.

“We’re not even playing our home games at Ibrox now. The fans, I’ve seen it in the last couple of games, there are big gaps at Hampden. That’s not Rangers. That’s not where Rangers should be.”

He went on to slam the board and directors at the club for a lack of vision which has caused problems which he insists must be addressed “as soon as possible.”

McCoist’s words echo those of the supporters in recent weeks after a turbulent summer which has led to a slow start to the season.

Rangers have been forced to play their home games at Hampden Park after building work at Ibrox was delayed beyond the initial summer time frame.

Meanwhile, Philippe Clement’s side have entertained two draws, one defeat and two wins in their first five games of the season, getting knocked out of Champions League qualifying in the process.

Rangers fans stunned as Ally McCoist hits out at board in new rant

Frustrations in the blue half of Glasgow have been growing for months, but with the likes of McCoist now coming out in criticism of the club, things look set to boil over.

Meanwhile, fans have refused en masse to attend games at Hampden Park – as noted by the former Gers man – largely due to frustration at the situation the club has found itself in.

McCoist’s rant has inspired renewed calls for the Rangers board to be dismissed after what has been described as an “utter shambles”.

In other news, a fresh update has emerged on Leeds’ interest in Rabbi Matondo.
