Rangers fans may have been voting with their feet already as “fistfuls” of tickets to the FCSB game were being sold outside the game, says David Tanner.
The talkSPORT broadcaster reported via X on 24 October as bunches of tickets for the Europa League tie were on sale on the way to Ibrox before a much-improved Gers downed the Romanians 4-0.
Philippe Clement is back under major pressure after the 1-0 defeat at Kilmarnock on 20 October, and Tanner suggested plenty of them have already seen enough.
He wrote: “Fans are reselling fistfuls of tickets at Ibrox subway station. Rarely – if ever – see that here.
“Are the Rangers supporters already voting with their feet?”

Jack Butland’s massive early escape aside, the Light Blues delivered a vital response in the European clash.
The keeper was rescued by an extremely charitable free kick decision when he was caught in possession to concede inside two minutes, but Vaclav Cerny soon set up Tom Lawrence to score before adding a second and third of his own.
Arguably, Rangers should have dominated this game whatever the circumstances after their opponents’ owner Gigi Becali revealed ahead of the match he intended to field a weakened side in order to aid their chances domestically [Emanuel Rosu, 16 October].
There is a growing sense that the way the Gers play under Clement is better suited to European competition but doesn’t work particularly well in Scotland, so the Belgian needed a performance here as the bare minimum and he certainly got one.
The weekend’s game against St Mirren, and especially the crucial trip to Pittodrie next week (30 October), will be all the more important to getting fans back onside.
It is very difficult for a manager to survive long term when the supporters are lost, but Clement insists he is going nowhere after getting a contract extension in the summer.
Ticketing issues on the way into Ibrox on Thursday night [Heart & Hand, 24 October] saw Ibrox slow to fill up, and whether those who eventually came in were the original owners of the tickets may have had something to do with it.
It was a much-improved showing that might have just made some fans regret missing it, and it was exactly what was needed after the Rugby Park loss, but how long it keeps the wolves from the door remains to be seen.
