Real Madrid are under significant pressure after conceding nine goals in their last three games, and suffering defeats to Barcelona and AC Milan. While Carlo Ancelotti has shouldered much of the blame, there appears to be an acceptance now within the club that he has been left with a short squad, which could open the door to moves in January.
On Wednesday it was reported that Real Madrid had seen that finding a right-back in the winter transfer market was a matter of urgency following their most recent losses. However Diario AS have rowed back a little on that, saying that Los Blancos will start making definitive decisions at the end of November, after they face Liverpool to be precise.

Before their trip to Anfield, Real Madrid come up against Osasuna and Leganes, and are hoping things will improve with more minutes for Eduardo Camavinga and Arda Guler, as well as the return of Thibaut Courtois. If things continue to go poorly at Anfield, then they will look to move in January.
The right-back situation is the most urgent, with Eder Militao failing to convince during his try-outs in training at the position. That leaves Lucas Vazquez as the only trusted option for the rest of the season, and of course, against Liverpool, Real Madrid will be seeing their top target for the position, Trent Alexander-Arnold. A deal for the Egnland international is described as ‘very difficult’ though.
