Report: Leeds now face competition for ‘outstanding’ £20m target from Champions League club

Leeds United reportedly face opposition in their bid to sign a rumoured transfer target this summer.

According to Fotomac, Leeds face competition from Galatasaray in their bid to sign Norwich City midfielder Gabriel Sara, who last season was one of the best players in the Championship for the Canaries.

Hailed by David Wagner via the Eastern Daily Press as an ‘outstanding’ player, the £20m-rated Brazilian could be on the move from Carrow Road with interest starting to build, with Leeds one of the teams chasing Sara this summer.

With Leeds eager to win promotion to the Premier League next season, targeting the likes of Sara is a wise decision from the Whites, with the 25-year-old nothing short of exceptional last year for Championship rivals Norwich.

However, with a Champions League side like Galatasaray now in the mix for the midfielder, there’s a real chance that Leeds could miss out on Sara, who could be tempted by the prospect of playing in Europe’s premier club competition.
