Report shares if Friedkin will make Everton U-turn amid 'skeletons in the cupboard' prospect

Prospective Everton owner Dan Friedkin is aware of issues that may arise in the Premier League directors’ and owners’ tests, according to The Telegraph.

The outlet has reported (20 June) that there is still “optimism from all sides” that a deal can be completed after tests are carried out.

Friedkin is “prepared” for the prospect of “skeletons in the cupboard”, with a sale said to still not be guaranteed for the Toffees with the American billionaire.

It has been reported that he is “100 per cent committed to buying the club” while he strives towards stabilising their finances.

The Toffees look to be moving closer to finally finding a new owner and beginning their last season at Goodison Park on a positive note.

It has been a tough year for the club, with Farhad Moshiri trying – and failing – to sell up after financial issues throughout the season.

This saw Sean Dyche’s side subjected to points deductions throughout the season but he didn’t let it affect them as they avoided relegation.

There have been links to 777 Partners in a saga which rumbled on before being called off at the final hurdle after concerns.

Now these issues appear to have been ended by Roma owner Friedkin, who is set to be subjected to the Premier League ownership tests.

It is almost positive that he is aware it won’t be a straightforward process and is prepared to work with the organisers to push a deal through this summer, regardless of those “skeletons”.
