Report: There's a suggestion Tottenham are in talks to sign Asia's 'biggest youth prospect'

Tottenham Hotspur could be in talks to sign one of the most promising young players in Asia this summer transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou has added two talented teenagers to his ranks this summer in Lucas Bergavll and Archie Gray.

The duo have really impressed in pre-season so far, despite Gray having to play at centre-back during the win at Hearts.

That said, it’s thought Tottenham may be about to sign another teenager this window who is considered one of the biggest prospects in Asia.

Tottenham potentially in talks to sign Yang Min-hyeok

According to The Mirror, an unnamed Premier League side are in talks to sign Gangwon FC teenager Yang Min-hyeok.

The report further adds that Tottenham are seen as the 18-year-old’s next move, though, Premier League newcomers Southampton are also keeping tabs on his situation.

Min-hyeok, who is considered Asia’s ‘biggest youth prospect’ per OneFootball, netted seven times whilst laying on three assists in the K League 1 last term.

Any forthcoming deal would likely see the 2006-born loaned back to Gangwon FC to continue his development in South Korea.

Min-hyeok has been selected for the K-League XI to face Tottenham on July 30 in a pre-season friendly.

Tottenham building for the future

It seems Tottenham have really placed great emphasis on building for the future in recent windows having recruited a number of promising young players.

Min-hyeok is the latest example of that and Lecce’s teenage left-back Patrick Dorgu is also said to be of interest to the Spurs, who have made an approach.

Mikey Moore is progressing through the ranks and is expected to feature in the first-team next year having impressed in pre-season.

The future is certainly bright at the North London club.
