Robert Huth took to social media to poke fun at his old rivals Tottenham after their 4-3 derby defeat by former side Chelsea.
The former Premier League champion joined the social media frenzy last night, with both current and former players taking part.
Current Chelsea academy coach and ex-captain John Terry mocked Spurs by celebrating Cole Palmer’s Panenka penalty.
Current captain Reece James also took to social media despite his nagging hamstring issue.
Huth posted on X: “3 Point Lane” with a laughing emoji, followed by the hashtag “So Spursy”.
Tottenham must block noise if Ange Postecoglou to succeed
Football Insider opinion
Spurs were 2-0 up after just 11 minutes but failed to capitalise on their early dominance and lost control completely in the second half.
They suffered a similar situation earlier in the season, going 2-0 up against Brighton and ultimately losing. This issue needs fixing before things get worse in North London.
Former club scout Mick Brown also exclusively told Football Insider that Daniel Levy might be planning to sack Ange Postecoglou to ease the pressure on his own position.
However, with a young squad that the former Celtic coach had a big say in shaping, it might be time for some patience from both fans and the hierarchy.
It was only a few weeks ago that this same team defeated reigning champions Manchester City 4-0 at the Etihad. They also dispatched top-four rivals Aston Villa with a resounding victory.
Postecoglou is known for making under-the-radar signings, so he may need to guide players like Wilson Odobert and Lucas Bergvall to succeed.
Although recent results have been disappointing, there’s an understanding that Postecoglou’s progress has been hindered by an unfortunate run of injuries to key players [The Telegraph].
