The 2023/24 race for European qualification in the Bundesliga
The five qualifiers for the 2024/25 Champions League are confirmed, with two more European qualifiers to be determined after the DFB Cup and Champions League finals.
UEFA Champions League
The exploits of Bundesliga teams in Europe this season means German clubs have earned an extra berth in the new-format Champions League. As a result, the top five all qualified for the competition - and those five teams are:
1st: Bayer Leverkusen (90pts, GD +65)
2nd: VfB Stuttgart (73pts, GD +39)
3rd: Bayern Munich (72pts, GD +49)
4th: RB Leipzig (65pts, GD +38)
5th: Borussia Dortmund (63pts, GD +25)

6th: Eintracht Frankfurt (47pts, GD +1)
Dortmund were to thank after BVB beat Paris Saint-Germain in their semi-final first leg to get the Bundesliga over the line and secure an extra 'European Performance Spot' and also confirm their own 2024/25 qualification in the process.

It could still be six teams who earn a place in the Champions League, though. If Dortmund win the competition, then they will qualify as holders, and the next best-placed Bundesliga team (i.e. Eintracht Frankfurt) will take the extra berth - the Eagles will be watching on with an interest when Dortmund face Real Madrid at Wembley on June 1.
