Thomas Müller's legend grows with one more Bayern Munich milestone
After sublimely controlling Serge Gnabry's assist in the 78th minute of Bayern's Matchday 2 games against Freiburg, Thomas Müller's subsequent strike to make it 2-0 in the game brought a passionate roar from the man who continues to make history as a one-club man.
"It's not about the records, it's about this goalscoring feeling, this winning feeling with the team," Müller told bundesliga.com afterwards as the world footballing legend made a Bayern club record 710th appearance for the Bavarian giants. There could have been no better way to complement that milestone than by firing in his 150th Bundesliga goal, all of which have come in the colours of the Rekordmeister.
Having become his side's all-time appearance holder in the Bundesliga against Wolfsburg last week, this weekend's latest feat was celebrated in among the Bayern fans, who welcomed Müller into the stands at the Allianz Arena after the match for some chants of 'Olé FC Bayern, olé olé'.
