Rangers have been praised for offering lunch for delayed visitors Dundee United ahead of Saturday’s game in the Scottish Premiership.
The Tangerines travelled to Ibrox on 23 November, but kick off was delayed by around an hour due to travel delays.
Dundee United arrived late due to travel delays, and writing on the BBC’s live blog [23 November, 3:02pm], journalist Colin Moffat revealed that the Light Blues made a significant gesture for the travelling side.
“Turns out Rangers offered to put on lunch for the delayed visitors, which is a thoroughly decent thing to do,” he wrote.
“United decided to check in to their hotel first, so they’re fast losing sympathy.”
Rangers need a win over Dundee United
Rangers have gone through a tough time of things this season and the delay to Saturday’s game was far from ideal.
Philippe Clement has failed to bring the best out of the Light Blues overall this campaign, having initially done wonders last term after taking over from Michael Beale.
It is not just on the pitch the the Glaswegian giants have struggled, either, as they are still without a permanent chairman.
Rangers also revealed in their recent report that they had posted a loss of £17.2 million, which only worsens the situation.
Along with being seemingly directionless in the boardroom, the Light Blues lack the financial might to turn things around swiftly by throwing money at their problems.
The Bears have shown, though, that they haven’t lost their values, no matter how bad the situation at the club might be.
Hopefully the Gers will be able to get back to the top in Scottish football soon for the sake of the Ibrox faithful.
In other Rangers news, Clement has been told what the last straw could be for him at the Glaswegian club.
