Tottenham told to get rid of Reguilon after ‘disrespectful’ social media twists

Tottenham have been told to terminate Sergio Reguilon’s contract after his behaviour since the win over Manchester United on Thursday night.

Reguilon, 28, made his first appearance of the season as a late substitute in the 4-3 Carabao Cup victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Spanish full-back has since taken to Instagram to mock Ange Postecoglou’s decision to play him, saying: “Look mum, I played a football game yesterday.”

Reguilon also caused a stir when he was spotted hugging a Manchester United player while warming up on the sidelines.

Reguilon has been linked with a move away from Spurs ahead of the January transfer window.

Spanish news outlet Mucho Deporte reported on 4 December that Getafe are keen to take the former Real Madrid defender back to La Liga.

And it seems a lot of Spurs fans would be keen on that happening too.

One said to “get him gone” after seeing footage of Reguilon being pally with his former Man United teammates while another accused him of being “disrespectful” with his Instagram post about finally getting some game time.

Reguilon joined SPurs in 2020 but has since been loaned out to Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Brentford.
