View: 100% ace knocking on Ange Postecoglou's door for Tottenham redemption

Radu Dragusin has proved that he is ready for redeeming himself at Tottenham after impressing for Romania once again.

Operating as the right-sided centre-back, he played the full 90 minutes as Romania beat Lithuania 2-1 in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday (15 October) – just two days after he scored in their 2-0 victory over Cyprus.

These two performances will stand the 22-year-old in good stead as he looks to break into the Spurs starting lineup once again.

He has been restricted to just three starts for the club this season, with a seventh-minute red card in the 3-0 Europa League win against Qarabag on 26 September not doing him any good.

According to FotMob, Dragusin won six of his duels (two ground and four aeriel) with a 100 per cent success rate – a feat achieved by no other player in the game.

The former Genoa star also recovered the ball five times, while also making three clearances and a block.

He registered 52 touches of the ball and completed 27 of his 43 passes, including seven into the final third, with 63 per cent accuracy.

Only one other outfield player attempted more long balls than Dragusin (10) and, although he completed only two of them, it hints at his determination to contribute to attacks.

Ange Postecoglou must have taken notice of Dragusin’s performances over the international break as Spurs prepare to face West Ham on Saturday (19 October).

Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero have established themselves as Postecoglou’s first-choice centre-back pairing, but the Romanian is determined to earn his shot.
