View: Dan Friedkin clearly already holds Everton keys as new transfer update drops

Dan Friedkin is already clearly having a massive influence on Everton and their future plans despite his takeover not being official yet.

Friedkin is still waiting for regulatory approval for the purchase of the Toffees from Farhad Moshiri.

However, positive signs already seem to emerge early on from the change in ownership, with Beto already being linked to Roma [AS Roma Live].

The former Udinese star failed to hit the ground running at Goodison Park and fans would not be bothered if the Portugal forward were to depart the club in January.

As shared by Quotidiano Sportivo, Juventus are one of the teams interested in Beto, however, the Old Lady is concerned by Roma’s interest and the link to Friedkin.

Dan Friedkin to facilitate Beto move from Everton to Roma?

With other clubs already concerned about what Friedkin could do with an Everton player and his other club, it is clear that he is starting to hold the keys behind the scenes.

While the 26-year-old has been below-par at Everton, he made a reputation for himself in Italy at Udinese, emerging as a lethal poacher, scoring all 10 of his goals in the Serie A from inside the box in the 2022/23 season, as per Sofascore.

Therefore, it would seem like a gamble worth taking on a player who hasn’t proved to be an asset so far for a team Friedkin is likely to take control of in the coming future.

However, that would leave Everton with a lack of numbers up front, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin is not the most reliable of strikers due to his persistent injury issues.

If Friedkin were to make Beto’s move to Roma happen, fans would be eager to see the American invest some money back into the Toffees and go after a proven striker in January to avoid another relegation scrap.
