Sean Dyche may have found his Everton saviour in Nathan Patterson after what he did during an Under-21s clash between Everton and Watford on Tuesday.

Patterson pinged a delightful pass to Armando Broja, who is another closing in on first-team action at Goodison Park.

The move initially started as Jake O’Brien played a short ball to the right-back, who then managed to curve the ball around two of the Hornets’ players with the ball ending up at the Albania international’s feet.

Everton shared the footage on their official website [27 November], with Patterson potentially a saviour for Dyche if he can stay fit.

Dyche’s Everton future has been under plenty of scrutiny this term, and it’s hard to tell whether the former Burnley boss is going to be relieved of his duties any time soon.

There have been plenty of times this season where his team have left a lot to be desired but then again, there have also been moments when they have oozed class.

Patterson has been out of action for what feels like forever due to the multiple injuries he’s suffered, but now he’s getting back to action, he could provide Everton and Dyche with something they’ve been longing for.

Why could Nathan Patterson be Sean Dyche’s Everton saviour?

Patterson was brought in to become Seamus Coleman’s successor but his time at Goodison Park hasn’t quite gone to plan.

The Toffees have severely lacked in attack this season and it feels like the team needs to show an awful lot more than the performances they’ve put in over the last few weeks.

While Coleman and Ashley Young have helped hold down the fort at right-back this season, the veteran duo are entering the twilight years of their careers and will no doubt be looking to hang up their boots in the near future.

After the performance the Scotsman put in against Watford on 26 November, it showed how much talent the former Rangers man possesses and also showed why he could still be a valuable asset to the team.

Once he returns to full fitness and is included in the first-team fold again, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Dyche hand the right-back a start as soon as he can.

In other Everton news, an update on the contract situation of Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been shared by a BBC chief.
