It has been a beautiful Saturday in front of goal for several Nigerian stars in Europe and Soccernet.ng brings some of the eye-catching highlights.

In Germany, Victor Boniface delivered a man-of-the-match performance to return Bayer Leverkusen to winning ways with a 4-1 win at Hoffenheim.

Boniface assisted the game’s opening goal and added two brilliant finishes to cap an excellent afternoon for Xabi Alonso’s men in the Bundesliga.

Over to Spain where Gift Monday and Rinsola Babajide made it the Nigerian show as they contributed three goals in UD Tenerife’s 4-1 win against Sevilla.

Monday scored two goals and claimed an assist but it was Babajide’s long-range strike which was the peak of the bunch as Tenerife secured their first win of the season.

Wilfred Ndidi showed he can be a creative genius further up the field as he supplied the two assists that gave Leicester City a healthy lead at Crystal Palace.

It was the first time Ndidi would bag a brace of assists in a single Premier League game while his latest haul lifts him past the legendary Austin Okocha on Nigeria’s assist table.

Here is Ndidi’s second assist to set up Mavdidi.

However, Crystal Palace fought back brilliantly to earn a 2-2 draw.

Down in the Championship, Watford were facing imminent defeat at home to Coventry City after Ellis Simms gave the visitors a 4th-minute lead.

However, Tom Dele-Bashiru popped up in the Coventry danger area just past the hour mark to side-foot Watford’s equaliser for a 1-1 draw.

In Belgium, Nigeria’s Yira Sor delivered an outstanding performance to lead Genk to a thrilling 3-2 win at Cercle Brugge.

Sor scored the opening goal and assisted the other two, including Tolu Arokodare’s game-winner.
