Wenham predicts Tottenham stance on selling 'Phenomenal' star, his value is 'Skyrocketing'

John Wenham isn’t worried about Dejan Kulusevski leaving Tottenham.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose believes the Swede has been the “best player” at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season.

While speaking on Sky Sports, Gary Neville recently claimed that several top clubs will be keeping a close eye on Kulusevski as a result of his fine form [via Football London, 24 November].

However, Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – doesn’t think Spurs will have any interest in letting the 24-year-old leave.

“I think he’s been our best player all season,” Wenham said.

“His skill set is phenomenal for someone of his frame, he’s got a really unique style and he is still very young. The beauty of this for Tottenham is that he is contracted with the club until 2028 and his value is absolutely skyrocketing.

“However, I don’t think Tottenham will have any desire to sell him. I think he’s only going to get better and better. The club make so much money from other revenue streams, they don’t need to sell players. I’m sure Kulusevski is on the list of all big clubs.

“However, he seems very happy in London, and I’ve got zero worries about him leaving the club.”

Dejan Kulusevski to remain at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium?

Kulusevski has been shining in North London this season and has emerged as one of Ange Postecoglou’s most important players at Tottenham, while he has even been backed to help his current club beat Arsenal to a £40million-plus transfer.

Therefore, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see several top European clubs register their interest in the 24-year-old. However, it also wouldn’t be a surprise if Postecoglou was keen to keep hold of the player.

Spurs are in a strong position when it comes to Kulusevski’s current contract, and if he continues playing as he has been, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the club line up a new deal.
