'Worst Nightmare' - O'Hara makes joke after what Rangers fans and Cundy did on talkSPORT

Jamie O’Hara said he was enduring his “worst nightmare” after Jason Cundy was revelling in the stick Rangers supporters were giving him after the 1-1 Europa League draw with Tottenham.

Spurs fan O’Hara saw his side held at Ibrox despite being overwhelming favourites with a 47th-minute strike from the in-form Hamza Igamane cancelled out by Dejan Kulusevski.

The Gers are still eighth in the Europa League table and, thanks to their higher goal difference and the point they gained from Spurs, Philippe Clement’s men remained ahead of Ange Postecoglou’s men who sit in ninth on 11 points.

Speaking live on talkSPORT (12 December), O’Hara gave his tongue-in-cheek reaction to the good-natured jibes he was getting on the phones and in the studio from co-host Cundy.

“This is like my worst nightmare tonight, Scottish fans phoning up digging me out over Tottenham, mocking me and Cundy sitting there revelling in it,” he said.

“Like, why am I here? I’m the punchbag tonight.”

Rangers proved a lot of people wrong against Tottenham

Over the last month or so, things just seem to have clicked for Philippe Clement and his men.

Whether that’s because of the change of formation or the fact that Igamane has figured out how to put a ball into the back of the net, it feels like there’s a massive difference between the Rangers we’ve seen recently to the one we saw about a month ago.

The Scottish League Cup final tie against Celtic on Sunday will likely be a season-defining moment for Clement and his men because if they manage to triumph over their arch-rivals, it could send them on a course to redemption.

Their form in the Scottish League Cup and Europa League has been fairly impressive and if they can continue that run of form into the final as well as carry it over into the Scottish Premiership, things could start to look up once again.

Only time will tell what the future holds but if Rangers can continue firing and not fall back into their old ways, they could be on course for something special to happen at Ibrox.

In other Rangers news, Keith Jackson has shared the one thing Philippe Clement needs to do to turn around the narrative at Ibrox.
