£27m man was the only Arsenal player named in Euro 2024 Team of the Tournament
????
Only one Arsenal player has been named in the Euro 2024 Team of the Tournament.
The Gunners had a plethora of players plying their trade in Germany this summer with two featuring in the final.
Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice both started in the final against Spain on Sunday, though, neither have made the team.
In fact, the only Arsenal player who’s been named in the prestigious XI exited at the semi-final stage.

William Saliba named in Euro 2024 Team of the Tournament
The official Euro 2024 Team of the Tournament has been released and of course, it’s dominated by the winners Spain, who have six players named.
Arsenal’s William Saliba, who was signed in a £27m deal, was selected at centre-back after his impressive performances for France, who were knocked out in the last four by the eventual winners.
France conceded just three goals all tournament and kept four clean sheets from six games, amplifying how watertight they were at the back.
Saliba’s imposing presence gave Didier Deschamps’ team solid foundations to reach the latter stages but they just didn’t quite have the quality up front, with Kylian Mbappe underperforming, particularly after his nose break, understandably.
Bukayo Saka unfortunate to miss out
Saka was arguably England’s Player of the Tournament and is unfortunate to miss out on the 11.. The Arsenal winger was a constant threat throughout despite operating in a defensive-minded system.
Even after the tweak to a back three, where he was made to play in his unfavoured position as a wing-back, the 22-year-old was a shining light for the Three Lions and scored a crucial goal against Switzerland.
In other news, Martin Odegaard could be key in Arsenal’s bid to sign ‘world class’ £33m player this summer.
