Alan Myers issues two-word response when asked if Everton takeover is in final stages

Alan Myers claims that the Everton takeover is pretty much in its final stages with The Friedkin Group set to be the new owners.

The Sky Sports news editor was asked on 26 November if the process was reaching its conclusion.

It’s understood that things will get wrapped up by mid-December with the Premier League giving the Texas-based group the green signal.

Via X, when Myers was asked about the takeover saga nearing its end, he responded: “Pretty much.”

The Goodison Park faithful have seen numerous false dawns with regards to the takeover so it’s no surprise that a large proportion of them are apprehensive.

However, what’s different with The Friedkin Group is that they’ve kept everything and quiet and not leaked every little development.

That’s exactly what the 777 Partners did and while many saw that as them being transparent, they never appeared serious about buying the club.

With the Friedkins, it is not that way and things are pretty advanced and in the final stages before the Premier League can give the green light.

They will have certain ideas on how to do things differently and hopefully, they can start implementing them as soon as possible.

A big decision also has to be made regarding the future of Dyche as performances on the pitch have been underwhelming, to say the least.
