Manchester United have had a serious problem with player discipline in recent times.
Marcus Rashford was criticised last season for partying before and after important matches, including an FA Cup game that he eventually missed through apparent illness.
Of course, Rashford isn’t the only player to have come under fire at Manchester United in recent times for this sort of thing.
Paul Pogba was often criticised for not giving his all to the team, while speaking to SportBible, Phil Jones has now shared that one of his former teammates was often late to training.
Indeed, according to Jones, Anthony Martial had some serious timekeeping issues during his time at Old Trafford.

Anthony Martial was always late to Manchester United training
Jones stated that the £36m attacker was always late to training during his time at Manchester United.
Martial left Manchester United on a free transfer last summer, and the writing was on the wall for a long time before he left.
Indeed, Martial was criticised heavily before he left United, and, by the sounds of it, his attitude just wasn’t right.
“Always late to training?” Jones was asked.
“How long have we got? Anthony Martial. Always late. Yeah, always late, training, meetings, bus,” Jones said.
“Those fans must have been racking up?” Jones was asked.
“Yeah, I don’t think it bothered him too much,” Jones replied.
“Was he the most fined as well?” The interviewer said.
“He’ll be up there,” Jones added.
Martial’s stats for Manchester United
It’s so frustrating to hear this about a player like Anthony Martial, because, at one point, it looked like the Frenchman had infinite potential.
Indeed, when Martial was signed by Manchester United, it looked like he was headed to the very top of the game.
United even put a Ballon d’Or clause in his transfer when he signed, but the striker never threatened to trigger that clause.
Sadly, Martial’s stats at Manchester United show how he declined towards the end of his spell at the club.

Now, at the age of just 28, Martial is playing for AEK Athens over in Greece, and he’s not pulling up any trees for his new club either.
Martial is a player who could, and probably should, have made it to the very top, but, much like many of his United teammates, he didn’t have the right attitude to kick on and make the most of his potential.
