Arsenal and Newcastle set to go head-to-head in race to sign two-time Premier League winner

Leroy Sane has just 10 months left on his contract at Bayern Munich.

The 28-year-old has been a key figure for the Bavarians in the four years he has been at the Allianz.

However, with uncertainty over his long-term future growing amid his contract ticking down, according to recent reports, the Germany international is attracting interest ahead of next summer.

Arsenal and Newcastle in race to sign Leroy Sane

Having previous experience in the English Premier League, Fichajes claim the former Manchester City winger, who won two Premier League titles during his spell at the Etihad, has emerged as a target for Arsenal and Newcastle United.

Leroy Sane is wanted by Arsenal and Newcastle United.

Both teams are looking to improve their wide options, and although the Gunners signed Raheem Sterling from Chelsea on Deadline Day, the Englishman’s move to the Emirates is just on loan, so Mikel Arteta is still on the lookout for a permanent target.

Newcastle are in a similar position. Eddie Howe is desperate to upgrade Miguel Almiron, but the Paraguay international’s failure to move on has restricted the 46-year-old’s options.

While the winger’s contract situation is a cause for concern for Bayern, the Premier League duo will be rubbing their hands together with each passing day.

Although a January transfer has not been completely ruled out, if Sane is to move, it seems he’ll wait until the end of the season.

During his four years in Germany, Sane, who has 65 international caps to his name, has scored 48 goals and registered 50 assists in 175 games in all competitions.
